I was born and raised in San Francisco as the proud daughter of an Irish immigrant, with two twin younger brothers and a family of small-business owners. Although I’m the first in my family to pursue theatre, I come from a long line of creatives, and many of my early childhood memories are soundtracked by The Beatles, Joni Mitchell and of course, a little Duran Duran (thanks Mom!).

By flying back and forth to Ireland and the East Coast to visit family, travel has been a formative experience for me and something I truly find invaluable. I’ve been lucky enough to have visited seven countries so far and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon! I’m always on the lookout for the quickest flight and cheapest hostel at my next dream destination (Camino De Santiago 2026 anyone?).

In high school, I learned what it truly meant to be an interdisciplinary artist, studying Musical Theatre and Creative Writing at the Marin School of the Arts. I left there a 7-time published author, regionally recognized performer, and most importantly, an artist who loved what I was doing. It was then that I discovered by love for sunset drives through the Marin County mountains, painting, and indoor plant care! Taking the time to learn who I was outside of theatre and writing made me the artist I am today.

Now, about four years later, I’m set to graduate as senior class speaker from Marymount Manhattan College in May 2026 Summa Cum Laude as a triple major in BFA Acting, BA Directing and a self-made BA in Theatrical Intimacy Practices. I’ve discovered a love for Shakespeare and classical texts during my time at MMC that I’ve been lucky enough to foster with our amazing faculty and student body. College life in NYC has been unique and vastly different from how I grew up, but I love it here and wouldn’t have it any other way. In my free time, I’m usually dragging my friends to my favorite antique stores, picking up a new crochet project or searching for the best pad thai in the city (happily accepting recommendations).

Hi, I’m Sofia!
